Installing Mikrotik RouterOS

  • Make sure you have a cd Microtic (if not already, what would installed?)
  • Booting from Cd-Room.
  • Booting is complete, now select the packages you want to install in.

  • There are many package, each package has a function that is different but there are also related, so, install all the packages to get safely.
  • To select all packages, and press A. When you are confident, press I.
  • Question appears.

    • * Do you want to keep old configuration ? [ y/n] press Y
    * Continue ? [ y/n] press Y

  • Installation process is starting.

    • 4

  • You do not need to create a partition, because partition will be automatically made.
  • After the installation is completed then we will have to restart the system, press ENTER to restart the system.

  • And then, you are recommended for checking hardisk [ the process of checking hard drives long enough, depending on hardisk space used ].

  • If you believe hard drive is still good, and does not want to wait for the check hardisk, press N.
  • You’ll be taken to the login page.

  • Finished!!
